MOVEMENT EDUCATION

INSPIRING CREATIVE MINDS, MOVING EXPRESSIVE BODIES

 

 

 

Meg Brooker has trained extensively in a wide range of classical and contemporary dance techniques and performance practices. Meg specializes in the early modern dance practices of Isadora Duncan and Florence Fleming Noyes. Meg offers workshops, residencies, performance coaching, and group and individual instruction in these techniques. She holds teaching certifications in Isadora Duncan dance, under the mentorship of Lori Belilove, Isadora Duncan Dance Foundation, in Noyes Rhythm, under the guidance of master teachers Nancy Nichols, Barabara Luke, and Ruth LeBar Bates, Noyes School of Rhythm Foundation. She is also a Yoga Alliance Registered Yoga Teacher and certified in Zena Rommett Floor-Barre®.

COMMUNITY DANCE

Meg Brooker partners with local, national, and international artists and organizations to create interdisciplinary, creative arts workshops and performance programs. Meg draws on her many years of dance, theatre, and yoga training techniques to craft programs specific to particular population needs.

 

Meg works with a wide range of populations including:

 

  • Professional performers in live concert venues

  • University dance students

  • K-12 students and teachers in private and public schools

  • Students in professional performing arts training programs

  • Caregivers and volunteers in the health care industry

  • Incarcerated women

  • Employees in corporate settings
